The speed that you will view the real-time pictures depends on several factors:
- the speed of your internet connection,
- the number of cameras that you decide to view at once,
- the number of people viewing the same demo you are, and
- the speed of the demo site’s internet connection. Because it’s a live demo of a real retail site, we at DigiTek are not in control of the demo site’s speed.
For best results, you will need a high-speed internet connection, running Windows XP with Internet Explorer.
| INSTRUCTIONS:
To ensure you can view the demo, please read or print the following BEFORE you click on the link. The demo should open in a separate window, so that you can easily refer back to these instructions, if necessary:
Step 1: At the bottom or left side of this page, click on the url (link) that says "Digitek Security Live Demo".
Step 2: A "Compression Selection" screen will appear. Select "Mpeg4" for live viewing. Hit the circle at the bottom of the box to continue.
Step 3: A "Select Internet Connection" screen will appear. The first time you try this on a given computer, you may not be able to select "DSL/CABLE/T1" because you'll notice that right above the box the system is wanting you to download some ActiveX code.
You need to download the code by clicking on the message and following the instructions.
Step 4: When you can select "DSL/CABLE/T-1", select it. Also select "1-window”, “2-window” or “Multi-view". Again, hit the circle at the bottom to continue
Step 5: Again, a box may appear with a message for you to "click here to download". You need to do so and follow the instructions as they come up. This step can take awhile, so be patient...
Step 6: Once the download completes, a “User Name/ Password” screen will appear. If the screen doesn’t appear, hit the play button ( > ) at the bottom.
The cameras will then display. If you experience difficulties, please call for assistance @ (773) 862-2400.
